Cindy Rust – Post Falls High School – Honors Biology (10th grade)
Cindy loves to play. Through play, she recognizes the potential of activities for authentic learning experiences and turns them into opportunities for students. She currently teaches at Post Falls High School where she not only teaches various science classes, she also organizes the PFHS Ski and Snowboard Club and assists in PFHS Climbing Club. She attended Henderson State University where her priority was swimming, lettering 4 years, but somehow managed to earn a B.S. in Biology. She ATTEMPTED (long story) a M.S. at Arkansas State University, and completed a M.E.P.D. at University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. All this education, in addition to work experience, has led her to believe the heart of education is authentic learning experience adventures that spark interests and develop passions in students, which internally motivate them to become life-long independent learners.
